Deprogrammed

It is difficult to break from the programming we were subjected to when we were growing up. I’m a Gen X. We were told to work hard, be loyal to our employer, grind out the extra hours to prove yourself, and you would be rewarded when it was time to stop working.

We were also told that elections mattered. I was politically conservative but I’m neither. Both parties are trying to squeeze every last cent from us. The Left wants to give our money away to government welfare programs and other similar programs, both nationally and internationally. The Right wants to give our money to the military industrial complex, the tech bros, private equity and other corporations.

We are no better off than we were during the Great Depression. We are both wage slaves and debt slaves. The government doesn’t and never has had our best interest in mind. They lie to us all the time.

It was so hard to break away from the tractor beam that is trying to pull me into the nonsensical media information overload that is legacy news and now social media influencers, who are also on the payroll of the government. I find my emotions getting “triggered” when I hear something that I know is meant to cause an emotional reaction, and I have to stop myself from being dragged into conversations that don’t matter.

We aren’t supposed to be moved about by every wind and wave of propaganda that puts on an emotional roller coaster. We are to be sober minded, level headed, considering all angles and aspects of information.

I have watched videos and read articles that explain that the CIA and other agencies never did anything for the common people, only for rich corporations. The term “banana republic” comes from the government causing regime change in Central and South American countries so corporations like United Fruit could exploit the countries for banana plantations. The Iraq and Afghanistan occupation was meant to enrich companies like Halliburton.

And the current economic situation is meant to drive us to depend on the government for a solution, a scheme to institute a Universal Basic Income, paid out in USD stable coins.

My hope is in God and in His sovereignty. Call me a fool but trusting that a man can fix problems they intentionally created is insanity.
