I have a confession. I listen to reaction videos to TikTok videos posted by women complaining about men, modern dating and MGTOW. I will listen to them sometimes when I commute to and from work. Most of the time I find it amusing and but mostly, it saddens me. It is causing a chasm between men and women that widens every day.
A lot of the women are delusional. Their list of qualifications for the most fortunate man to be a part of their life is usually comically unrealistic. He must be over six feet tall, six figure income and a gym body without being a gym bro. He must be willing to worship the ground she walks on and fulfill her every whim. He must be willing to spend use his money for everything, let her do what she wants, spend what she wants, dress how she wants, and he must keep his mouth shut. If he is a good little boy she might let him enjoy some sexual intimacy. There are probably hundreds of channels on YouTube dedicated to these videos.
The worst part is, until they meet this man, they spread their legs for every bad boy Chad in the club that could make her laugh, for nothing.
Most of the people reacting to these videos blame feminism. The feminist mantra that women are equal to men in all ways. Well, actually, men are inferior to women in most ways. The few aspects of a man that are superior to women that they are willing to concede are physical limitations. But the concession is a reluctant one.
In my opinion, they are mostly wrong in this assessment.
Most people reject the bible, but the bible explains why the tension between men and women is part of the curse placed on Eve for listening to Satan embodied in a serpent.
Here it is:
Genesis 3:16: To the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply Your pain and conception, In pain you will bear children; Your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you.”
That last part that I put in bold, that is the root of the problem, and it has always been the root of the problem. It is curse, a consequence placed upon all women because the sin committed in the Garden of Eden.
“Your desire will be for your husband” doesn’t mean in a physical sense. It means that the woman would desire to be in the place of the man, hence the follow up of “and he will rule over you.” God had placed man at the head of everything. Man is the top of authority in the human paradigm. This was God’s design. The curse obviously is placed on men, too, because they have to deal with a woman constantly challenging his authority. Proverbs has 4 verses related to this, one written down twice for emphasis:
Proverbs 21:9
It is better to live in a corner of a roof
Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
Proverbs 21:19
It is better to live in a desert land
Than with a contentious and vexing woman.
Proverbs 25:24
It is better to live in a corner of the roof
Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
Proverbs 27:15
A constant dripping on a day of steady rain
And a contentious woman are alike;
As with most problems facing humans, the root is also burrowed deep in our sinful nature. The tension between men and women is because of sin. Feminism only fans the flames of embers already present.
