Elijah ran from Jezebel and hid in a cave. This came after he killed 400 prophets of Baal. Elijah had some powerful moments confronting the sin of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. But he did run away and hide.

Also, God had 7,000 people who had not knelt before to altar of Baal, who remained loyal to Him. These 7,000 did not rise up, gather weapons, raise an army and march to Samaria to engage in battle with King Ahab and Jezebel. God always has a remnant that He has called to Himself, and keeps them holy before Him.

Elijah did not do what he did by his own ability. Those 7,000 people did not remain holy before God by their own ability. It was the power of God that kept them.

This Jehu mentality is going to lead the church into the Great Tribulation. These people will end up siding with the Antichrist because they will believe that he was raised up God to fight for the coming Kingdom. God will raise up the Antichrist for the purpose of deceiving the masses and then ultimately lead them into God’s judgment.
