This is what I am talking about:

Politics is dividing the church in the same way it is dividing the nation.
A few years ago, the Gospel Coalition, ERLC, and their mouthpieces were pushing leftist talking points as gospel issues, as I said in last post. The talking points included reparations, open borders, getting jabbed with the chemical cocktail, among others. Their point was if, as a Christian, you were not I full support of these policies then you were not a true Christian.
As Libolt states above, if a pastor is not speaking out against the political left then they ought to be removed from the pulpit. Evil exists and it always will.
I haven’t followed Libolt long or closely but I do know a lot of what he posts is political. My question to him would be what his opinion would be of the unlawful invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan by the political right. I don’t know if he criticized Trump for calling the Epstein files fake news, a democrat hoax. I have looked at his recent facebook posts and he is lifting Charlie Kirk up onto a pedestal. His friends are the visual killing an act of terrorism and those who celebrate it should be prosecuted as traitors to the country.
Charlie Kirk was a man. He isn’t better than anyone else. His shtick of going on college campuses didn’t make him better than the person who works and provides for his family. This man professed to be a Christian, but I would say that he wasn’t. He spoke the right words but did they mean anything to him? He had a favorable opinion of Roman Catholicism. Platforms many false teachers. These are problems that Libolt and Protestia would normally speak out against.
Now, I know that I had said much of this yesterday. Below is a link to a glowing article praising Charlie Kirk written by Dave Morrill of Protestia.
This is a site that would not have partnered with Kirk. They denounce the false teachers he frequently shared a stage with. They write against Roman Catholicism and its unbiblical teachings that Kirk was embracing. Yet, they called him a brother in Christ. It seems Kirk’s political views and interactions with brainwashed college students, and because Kirk would mention the name of Jesus and claim to be a Christian are the motivating factors for call Kirk a brother in Christ, not Kirk’s Christian beliefs. I would say they are no longer a discernment site.
As an example, they posted this article about a Catholic priest with no preamble or criticism of the practices and beliefs of Catholicism.
I have seen this before. Jordan Peterson got emotional when he talked about the Bible once and everyone was gushing. Peterson spoke favorably about the Bible and the buzz was he would soon be a true Christian. I say he wasn’t gaining an audience, and Kirk used the same playbook.
I don’t believe Kirk actually died. I believe we, that is Christians, are being played and conned into angry knee jerk reactions to what happened.
We need to be sober minded and not ruled by our emotions.
