Pastors We Are Told We Should Listen To…

There a lot of pastors we are told are godly men, who the most humble men and the pastors who hold the concept of a holy life as sacred. Pastors who a lot of pastors worship. Pastors who followers are zealous in defending.

Brian Houston: covered up his father’s criminal pedophilia. Brian Houston himself had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a woman in a hotel room, it could’ve been more than one. Is under investigation in Australia for many financial improprieties, what in the US would fall under the RICO laws.

TD Jakes: In bed with Diddy.

John Gray: if I recall he has had multiple extramarital affairs, but definitely one. To say sorry to his wife he bought her a Maserati.

Robert Morris: an inappropriate sexual relationship with a woman.

Greg Locke: had his first wife declared mentally unstable and insane so he could divorce her and marry his mistress, who is now his co-pastor and fellow apostle.

Carl Lentz: had a sexual affair with a woman at the gym he went to. Photographed multiple times doing shots with Bieber.

Mike Bickle: multiple inappropriate sexual relationships with young women at IHOP center, using false “words from God” to seduce the women.

Perry Noble: alcoholic and abusive to his wife.

Benny Hinn: allegedly had an affair with

Steve Lawson: 5 year inappropriate non-sexual relationship with a young woman. He doesn’t seem to fit this list but in the Reformed world of Christianity, he was a recommended pastor to follow. He deserves the same scrutiny as those of the Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. The only difference being that he was a conservative theologian, taught right historically true Christian doctrine. Now, he may not have a trail of women he used for sexual purposes, but he didn’t confess his sin, he was confronted because of it.

There are probably some I am missing but I think you should understand my point. We shouldn’t listen to pastors or teachers simply because they have a huge following. We are called to be like the Bereans and be holy because the God we serve is holy.
