The proverbial elephant in the room is the US government and all the government hand out programs they have to offer. A smorgasbord of welfare, social security injury payouts, social security retirement payments, Obamacare, all the subsidized government programs like the National Endowment for the Arts that would fail without government funds. All the off the books covert operations that are funded by taxpayer dollars that lead to military actions to enrich politicians and those who got them elected. The subsidized farming, all of it, such as farmers paid to let crops rot or destroy them, and farms to grow corn for ethanol, and farms that lay fallow because the government pays them not to grow anything.
And all of these government programs and actions have left a giant steaming pile of elephant dung that is our National Debt, which is currently sitting just over $31T.
There is a lot of talk going on in the political circles. Trump is going around, stumping about the country talking about the illegal aliens waiting at the border, the conflict in Ukraine (that NATO basically provoked, along with the US), the criminal activities of the Biden clan, and any other surface problem that tickles the ears of the voting public. These issues are important because the government will inevitably throw money at the problem and hope the voters accept that token attempt as worthy of their vote. They might possibly be the final card that causes the house of cards to topple.
These issues are not as important as the talking heads and the whores who are pimping themselves for your vote. They offer solutions to overhyped situations that won’t resolve the issue that will finally destroy this country: the National Debt.
For a hypothetical, let’s say Trump gets reelected in 2024 (meaning they figure out how to not let the Left stuff the ballot boxes), is he going to magically make the giant pile of elephant turd that is the national debt disappear? How is it going to be paid off?
I mean, we can continue to play word games and offer up lip service to the illegal aliens coming over the border, the Biden crime family, or any other crisis the media tells us we need to urgently talk about. The national debt is not going away. And I don’t know how many more times we can raise the debt ceiling and borrow more money.
In short, I have no confidence that any public entity whoring after our vote will be able to make any significant dent in national debt. And the big reason is because politicians are addicted to spending. They see some unspent cash in the government coffers and spend it. I have a conspiratorial thought that it is usually laundered and sent back to them, but that is for someone else to figure out.
