People are going to be taxed by the mile. The Biden Infrastructure Bill includes a usage tax. In lay terms, drivers will be taxed by the mile. It does not matter what type of driving is done, it will be taxed. The bill includes a pilot program to test its efficacy. In the vernacular of the government there is not such term as “pilot program”. It a small tax measure soon to be followed a nationwide rollout of the same tax measure.

Once a tax is announced it is a good as implemented. This tax will only be a small step. In my opinion, I would bet that this tax will not be used for infrastructure costs. This tax will be used for other pet spending projects. This tax will be used as a stepping stone to more taxes to inhibit our freedom.

Part of the Infrastructure Bill is investments in amenities with for electric vehicles. Charging stations across the country, tax incentives for purchasing electric vehicles and funding for the government to switch to electric vehicles. What I noticed was lacking was funding to improve the infrastructure of the electricity supply chain, the power plants that generate the energy or loosening of regulations for the construction of nuclear power plants. Where exactly is all this electricity going to come from the charge these cars? Isn’t California already asking their citizens to not charge their cars because of blackouts?

I say all this because the reason for the new mileage tax is because of increased number of electric cars on the roads. The electric cars don’t need gas so they don’t pay the gas tax. How else can we pay for the infrastructure but also taxing the electric cars. The logical legislation would to be to tax the owners of electric cars.

But there’s a problem for the owner of gas cars. The owners of electric cars are getting tax breaks. If they are getting tax breaks for owning electric cars then the mileage tax they would be paying is offset by the tax break. Also, the gas tax isn’t going away. It isn’t being replaced by the mileage tax. The mileage tax will be in addition to the gas tax.

The owners of gas cars will be responsible for all the taxes for the Infrastructure Plan via the gas tax and mileage.

This all about the Green New Deal. This is all about restricting the mobility of the citizens of this country. This about keeping us where we are and forcing us to move and live near urban areas. This all about the government exerting control.
