The python spirit is at it again.  Jennifer LeClaire, writing for Charisma Mag, is under attack from the python spirit.  Now this python spirit is not to be confused by with the sneaky squid, distant relative to Squidward. How many times does a person need to bind the python sprit in cords of prayer so that he stays bound? It seems the Holy Spirit needs to hit the gym and lift some spiritual weights because Miss LeClaire keeps binding the python spirit but it keeps getting loose. 

The idea of the python spirit is allegedly ascertained from Acts 16, Paul and Silas’s encounter with a girl with a spirit of divination. GotQuestions.org explains it:

 Those who believe in a python spirit point to Acts 16:16, where Scripture refers to a slave girl who had “a spirit of divination.” The Greek term for “divination” in this verse is pythōna. The origin of the Greek word is rooted in Greek mythology, which includes the story of Apollo slaying a serpent or dragon that dwelt in the region of Pytho and was said to have guarded the oracle of Delphi. It seems the local residents of Philippi in Acts 16 said this slave girl gained her powers through “a spirit of Python,” associating the mythological serpent with oracles in general. Paul freed this girl of the demon (Acts 16:18), angering the men taking advantage of her and leading to a lawsuit (Acts 16:19–21).

As usual, Charismaniacs take a word from what it really means, attach their own meaning to it and now we have a python spirit. 

LeClaire proclaims that she is being squeezed by the python spirit. She pontificates that the python spirit is powerful in her region is because of the proximity to the Everglades Swamp, I kid you not. She attributes things she is experiencing, like being tired, not praying, not wanting to worship, etc., to attacks of the python sprit.  I would suggest that the reasons people do not do those things are due to complacency, making their lives too busy, or just plain laziness.  No python spirit or sneaky squid spirit.

The Charismaniacs believe that since Jesus said that the earth is Satan’s kingdom, they have turned into a belief system that espouses the idea that Satan is more powerful than God in the terrestrial realm.  God can’t do anything unless we empower Him and python spirits can put a stranglehold on the Holy Spirit inside believers. They have turned it into a cash-cow industry for their leaders.  They all have a strategy, patented in the patent office located inside the Pearly Gates, and you can have that strategy for a certain price.

Then she writes this gem, “Paul cast the demon out of the girl, which meant her masters could no longer profit from her false prophecies.” What a touch of irony.  She and her colleagues have been profiting from their false prophecies for years.  The clowns of chaotic utterings over Chuck Pierce’s venue have made a fortune of spouting nonsense and calling it prophecy for years.
